The Friends of the Talent Library invite the public to a free ?Silent Film Festival? on Saturday, October 16, from 10:00 a.m. ? 4:30 p.m., in the Community Meeting Room of the Talent Branch Library, 101 Home Street.

Three feature films will be shown: The Cameraman at 10:30 a.m., starring Buster Keaton; The Sheik at 1 p.m., starring Rudolph Valentino; and The Jazz Singer at 3 p.m., starring Al Jolson. In addition, a variety of short films will be shown before each feature. The short films offer a wide range of subject matter captured on film around 1910 and demonstrate the ingenuity and inventiveness of the earliest film makers.
